In the month of March, millions of employees shifted out of the office into their homes in an attempt to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. With no one in the office, you might suspect radio silence on the corporate network.
In this report, ExtraHop shares anonymous, aggregate data from across our customer-base, comparing one week of data from November 2019 to March 2020. We use that data as a jumping-off point to analyze the trends in device connectivity and communications during the pandemic, and explore how those trends reveal not only the state of work during the COVID-19 crisis, but also the complexity and risks of connected devices.
We explore the risks and activity coming from devices like:
- Laptops
- Smartphones
- Printers
- IP Phones (and the critical vulnerability currently affecting many Cisco IP phones)
- And more
Download the report to see which devices are still connected to the network and the potential risks associated with leaving those devices online.
