ExtraHop Enters 2025 with Strong Momentum, Adds New Leaders to Executive Team

ExtraHop

January 14, 2025

ExtraHop ended 2024 with significant revenue growth over 2023, demonstrated by more than $300 million in total bookings, several new Fortune 100 clients, and a growing number of large customers each committing in excess of $1 million in annual recurring revenue to secure their environments.

Some of the world’s most complex, heavily regulated, and security sensitive organizations increasingly recognize network detection and response (NDR) and the ability to correlate packet-level data at scale as critical components of their security architecture. ExtraHop’s RevealX™ platform is capable of providing network detection and response (NDR), network performance management (NPM), IDS, and packet forensics from a single hardware or virtual appliance–a differentiator recognized by analysts that confers significant value, cost savings, and operational efficiencies for customers.

What We're Hearing From Customers

Feedback from some of the largest customers in 2024 was that they valued the capacity of ExtraHop’s all-in-one sensors to keep pace with the considerable volume of traffic flowing over their networks. ExtraHop sensors are capable of collecting massive amounts of network traffic at speeds up to 100 Gbps, extracting thousands of features from it, and sending that data into the cloud for real-time machine learning analysis at scale. Competing NDR solutions top out at speeds of up to 40 Gbps and perform machine learning on their appliances.

Machine learning is a compute-intensive process, and the cloud can scale on the fly to handle and correlate much higher volumes of data, which leads to faster, more efficient training of the machine learning model that ExtraHop uses to distinguish potential threats and risks from normal network behavior. Customers recognize that if machine learning is performed on an appliance and the appliance gets overloaded, it’s not a quick or easy process to install another appliance to handle the increased load. This is not a problem they want to run into during an attack.

Large organizations in heavily regulated industries are also drawn to the unparalleled decryption capabilities of RevealX, since so much of their internal traffic is encrypted. Our ability to decrypt SSL and TLS 1.3 traffic in real time, without interfering with it, alongside our ability to decrypt encrypted Microsoft protocols, gives these organizations visibility into living off the land techniques that they would not be able to get from competing NDR solutions that rely on encrypted traffic analysis.

New CEO, Sales, Channel, and Marketing Leadership

Building on ExtraHop’s momentum in the market, the board of directors announced the appointment of Rob Greer as CEO to lead ExtraHop through its next stage of growth. Greg Clark becomes Executive Chairman and will remain an active member of the leadership team supporting customers, partners, and key initiatives.
